What they do

The Shoe Guy is Andre Juarez, Sr.’s independent comfort-footwear store at 165 Main Street in downtown Farmington. Continuing the local tradition of Divine Footwear, Andre focuses on personal service, individual shoe fitting and helping neighbors walk comfortably. His interests in Maine’s outdoors, comfort, health and road cycling inform his approach to footwear. For the November ArtWalk, the shop welcomes Cherie Giampietro of Ceramic Design by Cherie and her nature-inspired ceramics.

Community story

In a June 2026 community letter, the family behind Divine Footwear announced the handover to Andre Juarez, known as “The Shoe Guy,” continuing the store’s service to Farmington and surrounding communities. Andre later shared his customer-first vision with the Rotary Club of Farmington. For November’s ArtWalk, The Shoe Guy opens its doors as Stop 5, completing the six-venue downtown lineup.
